California Sales Tax Rate Drop Affect E-Commerce in California

On July 1st, 2011, the sales tax rate in California dropped back to 8.75% from 9.75%. How does this affect E-Commerce stores in that state, and/or selling to that state. Many E-commerce stores have failed to make that change on time, or notify their webmasters to do so. This change has made an impact only for online shoppers who were aware of the change and wanted to save an extra 1% when checking out. So, to all California E-Commerce stores, make sure to make this change as soon as possible to avoid loss in sales.
